We usually Blade 10-12 miles in the summer and 12-20 miles in the cooler months. We meet at
8:00am and roll out at
8:30. Brunch Afterwards

Oct-12-08 @ 9:00AM Upper Tampa Bay Trail;
We will meet at the trail head on Waters Ave just West of Sheldon
Road. Two ways to go to the Upper Tampa Bay Trail.
49th St. way:
Take 49th St to McMullenBooth Road north to 580. Turn east. This
turns into Tampa Road which turns into Hillsborough Blvd. Take this
to Country Way (there is a Walgreens on the corner) turn north into
the Country Way subdivision. Take this north to the first stop sign,
which is Waters, turn right or east. Go about 1 mile and the
entrance to the trail is on the left (north) just across from the
YMCA.
I 275 way:
I-275 towards airport, stay left heading for "cargo" area, PASS #60
Clearwater and take next gradual left onto Independence (Exit 2B).
Follow Independence -it melds into Memorial which becomes Sheldon as
it crosses Hillsborough. Stay on Sheldon and at Waters make a left.
1st right is into the park at the Trail.
We recommend finding your way on a map before going and taking the
map with you.
Oct-19-08 @ 9:00AM Safety Harbor Marina;
Meet at the Marina parking lot on Bayshore Blvd. 1 block
South of Main Street in Safety Harbor. Bayshore Blvd. is the last
traffic light before going East over Courtney Campbell Causeway. You
can only go north on Bayshore from the Causeway.
Oct-26-08 @ 9:00AM Pass-a-Grille,
8th Ave; Meet on 8th Ave. The Seahorse Restaurant is on 8th Ave. and
Gulf Blvd/Pass A Grille Way, the main road. Parking on 8th Ave is
free. If you don't park on 8th Ave, be prepared to pay $2 to a
parking meter.
Nov-2-08 @ 9:00AM North Shore, 12th Ave;
Meet in the parking lot on the NE corner of 12th Ave NE and North
Shore Dr NE in downtown St. Pete. Coming from the North, take Exit
23B (old Exit 11) off I 275. Coming from the South, take Exit 23A
(old Exit 10) off I 275. Both exits run into Beach Drive at 4th Ave
NE. Go left (North) on Beach Drive to 12th Ave NE. Turn right (East)
onto 12th Ave NE and go across North Shore Dr NE into the parking
lot.
Nov-9-08 @ 9:00AM JB Starkey Winlderness Pk;
FROM SR 54 and Little Road, go north on Little Road for about 2.2
miles to River Crossing Blvd. On the NE corner, there is a
subdivision entrance sign that says Timber Green and River Crossing
(you can't miss it). Turn right or east...go about 1.3 miles to
Starkey Blvd. Turn left or north, go another .3 miles to the
entrance to the park on the right hand side. There are signs to this
park, again you can't miss it. Go into the park to the "end". Turn
left....follow the signs that say "Day Use Area"...continue on that
till you see another sign that says "Bike Trail Parking ==>" This is
parking lot #8 and shelter #5.

Shelter #2; Meet in the John Chesnut Sr. County Park just
south of Sandy Point Rd on East Lake Rd in the parking lot between
shelters #2 & #3 East Lake Rd is an extension of 49th St. in St.
Pete which turns into McMullen Booth Rd in Clearwater and turns into
East Lake Rd above Tampa Rd.

Jackson's (Annual) Trail Skate Event; This is the one
you've been waiting for the Best of Pinellas County, The Pinellas
Trail! You can skate fast or slow, there's fun & food for all.
Skaters will come from near and far to get in on this action.
Registration required for events on Nov. 21, 22 & 23. On Nov. 22,
meet in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort for the
Trail Skate. If the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort parking lot gets
full, parking in Maximo Park is available. The shuttle bus(s) will
leave at 8 AM from the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort parking lot to go
to the beginning of the skate in Tarpon Springs. For more

Nov-23-08 @ 9:00AM Holiday Inn Sunspree;
Going South towards the Skyway Bridge on I 275, take Exit 16 off I
275 to Pinellas Point Drive. Go left (East) on Pinellas Point Drive
a short distance to Sunshine Skyway Lane S. Turn right (South) onto
Sunshine Skyway Lane S and go just a few blocks to the Holiday Inn
Sunspree Resort on the left located at 6800 Sunshine Skyway Lane S
(address so you can plug it into your GPS). If the Holiday Inn
parking lot is too crowded, you can park in Maximo Park which is a
right turn on Pinellas Point Drive from Exit 16 and blade over to
the Holiday Inn. We will decide weather to blade the Skyway Bridge
access road or do the Pink Streets first.

Dec-14-08 @ 9:00AM Curlew Rd & Alt 19 on
the Trail, Brunch by Suzanne; Meet in the Publix parking
lot. Curlew Rd is Hwy 586. Curlew is the first major road North of
Countryside Mall on Hwy 19. Go West on Curlew from Hwy 19 until you
get to Alternate 19. The Publix parking lot is located on the NE
corner of the intersection of Curlew and Alt 19. The Trail crosses
Curlew and runs parallel to Alt 19. Be careful not to confuse
Highway 19 with Alt 19.
Special Event Dec-17-08 Darry's Xmas Lights
Skate; Meet at 6:30 PM Roll out at7:00 PM We’ll skate
through neighborhoods with some of the nicest holiday lights
displays in the area. You’ll be full of holiday cheer after this
skate. Party at Darry’s after the skate.

Go to the Clearwater Memorial Causeway and turn onto Island Way.
Proceed a couple of blocks North on Island Way to the Publix Parking
Lot (200 Island Way)
