Upper Tampa Bay Trail

It was a little nippy in Paradise early today. However by the time we skated it had warmed up to a long sleeve tee shirt temperature. Unfortunately there were some water spots on the trail and few streams of water going across the trail. Well the worst places were in an apartment complex at the South end that the leader took us through. Janice called ahead to Florito’s (formerly Grama Grippos) and made reservations for 10:30 AM but that turned out to be a little early (10:45 AM would have been better) and we had to cut our skate short and turned around at the bridge. The trail was not that wet and was basically dry on our way back. However I sprayed WD-40 on my bearings (while still in the skates) just to be sure. Brian’s two children, Ryan and Dillon made the skate with us after several tries. Tim & Vickie, Fran & Sam joined us again. Welcome back Tim, Vickie, Fran and Sam. Herb renewed has Sponsorship. Thanks Herb.

The last of the skaters made it to Florio’s about 10:45 AM. Florio’s set up a big “U” shaped table for the 21 of us. Herb didn’t make Brunch. We basically over powered Florio’s. Forgot to get Rob’s rating. Rob didn’t blade with us because of a bad back but Brunched with us. Hope your back gets better soon Rob. I would say the food was a 9 but the service was about a 7 as it took Florio’s a long time to serve all of us. About half the people were finished with Brunch before poor Brian and sons got their meals. Florio’s is always slow but not usually as slow as they were today but they always put us all at the same table and seat us immediately.
