LongBoat Key

It was a beautiful day with a slight easterly breeze. Almost perfect for roller blading Longboat Key. I love traveling to and blading Longboat Key. The scenic ride down gives one time to converse with good friends. Blading Longboat Key along the beach is just about as good as it gets. Jeff B set a nice easy pace to New Pass, our turn around point. Almost everyone stayed together on the way down. Traditionally on the way back is the time to let it all hang out and we broke up into smaller groups. Mats brought his wife, Berna who enjoyed the beach atmosphere and did some reading. Joe P brought his daughter, Becky. Welcome Berna and Becky. Joe and Becky biked. Linda S said she was renewing her and Brian’s sponsorship but I forgot to collect the money. Next time, but thanks for the thought. Charles renewed his Sponsorship during the week. Thanks Charles. I tried to take pictures but found out I had not put my memory card back into my camera. Joe P had Denise’s digital camera handy and became the official group photographer for the day. Thanks Joe. Heard from Karin who bladed from Walsingham. She indicated they had a nice blade.

Longboat presents way too many restaurants to make an easy choice for brunch. We took the easy and expedient way out and brunched at Isabelle's. We always use Isabelle's restrooms preblading and felt we should give them some/the business. We ate at two tables. Both waitresses were excellent and the service exceptional. Had food ratings from 8 to 10. Most people thought the food was a 9.
