JB Starkey Wilderness Park

The day started off a little cool but turned out almost perfect. We had a terrific group show up for Starkey Wilderness Park. A few had a little trouble getting to the park but all made it. Had quite a few faces we hadn't seen in a while: Steve S, Tracy & Jim, Mats, Jack S. & Kirk. Welcome back bladers. Several bladers also renewed their Sponsorship: Karin & Jeanine. Thanks girls. Four bladers became first time sponsors: Sam, Dee, Chris and Kirk. Welcome New Sponsors!!! We bladed basically in three groups; the speeders, the social group and the let's take it easy group. Believe almost everyone did the 14 mile blade. We had a couple interesting outfits: Janice in her Halloween shorts and Suzanne in some tight snake skin pants.

We brunched at Christos as usual. Christos was really busy but they got us seated quickly. Service after we got seated was a little slow but who cares. We had lots to talk about. One discussion item was, when shall we start blading at 9 AM??? The majority agreed 9 AM was fine for the winter months and why not start now. Blades from now on will start at 9 AM. Rob ran off to a motor cycle rally and left us to judge the food. We gave the food a 9. The Eggs Benedicts were a 12 (Karin made me say that).
