Straub Park Downtown St. Pete

What a gorgeous day to be outdoors. Starting at Straub Park in downtown St. Pete, 16 skaters made their way to the Pier, through beautiful neighborhoods along the water, over bridges and all the way to Kim and Joel's house. We stopped by to say hello to the soon-to-be parents. Joining the group for the first time was Joe (he usually skates on Thursday nights). Welcome Joe. Welcome back Kyle, good to have you skating with us again. Returning to this coast for a visit and skate, Cindy joined us again, and so did Tom, Kim and Lisa. Tom and Kim haven't skated much since their 19 month old daughter came along so we were pleased they came.

Brunch at the Dome was different. It was a busy place and popular in the area and we were able to get a table for everyone together. Each person went through a line to order, pay for food and then pick up the meal when the order was ready. Prices were reasonable, the food was given a Rob's rating of 5, the highest overall rating, mostly because we missed being served as a group and for the most part, eating at the same time. Vickie and Tim from Indiana once again joined us for brunch.

Thanks to Janice for her fearless leadership, pictures and finalizing the skater report in Bruce's absence. The group stayed together and Danny's bicycle odometer indicated 9 - 10 miles per hour throughout the skate. Street conditions varied from smooth pavement to some rough, challenging spots, and the occasional burst of wind didn't deter the efforts at all.

We hope Bruce is having a fun trip and we expect him to return for next Sunday. See you rolling.

We also welcome back Breeze from another stint in Kuwait…..home for good now???
